May Day in a good way Today is the first day of M May Day in a good way Today is the first day of May. Sunshine. And finally back to Plein Air painting. And ding dang dong it sure felt good. My new knee wasn’t so sure about all this…but I pushed through. I had a bench to sit on yo paint - which made it too challenge to take a time lapse of the painting. But it sure feels good to be back at it! GATHERED BY THE TIDE This painting represents a b GATHERED BY THE TIDE This painting represents a big milestone for me. I was pretty timid to tackle the stairs to go into my studio after having knee replacement surgery. It took quite awhile to muster up the courage to actually use the stairs. But I finally reached the point where my need to create was greater than my fear! I’ve very happy with the way this painting turned out. I combined a few reference photos to develop the composition as I went along.
