Bio
I’ve almost always lived near the sea. From my early years in Edwardsville in Cape Breton, NS to our move to Red Head in Saint John, NB. and all the Sunday drives while growing up – beaches were central. My father had been a sailor and was naturally drawn to the shore and took us along in tow. The feeling of being on a beach is imprinted into my DNA.
As a child I was always drawing. Copying illustrations from books that were around the house and then National Geographic Magazines. I fancied that I’d grow and become a zoologist. Then I heard about Robert Bateman – a wildlife artist. I could not contain myself and dreamt of the possibilities.
